If the game crashes then restart the game, start the battle again and use the console tools shown above to force a victory. Given this I'd recommend taking a picture (phone, screenshot) of your army composition (Number of units, troops on the toolbar) when you are just about to win a battle.
Given this I'd say that the method described above has definitely helped me minimise crashes, but it is NOT FOOLPROOF and your game may still crash even using it.
I haven't had any crashes directly after restarting the game and going into a battle as before. During that time I've suffered ONE crash due to C++ after a long session of play before a battle. UPDATE: I've put five more hours into the game with the setting's left as I described above. Let me know if this solution works for you guys I'll post a link to the IGN list of commands below: I also don't want to replay the battle for a third time so It may be that forcing a victory through the console and winning it through battle might affect the crashing issue differently (Though I don't see why it should)įinally using console commands is easy and is a useful workaround if the game crashes after a victory and you don't want to replay the match again. I'm writing this just after having solved the issue so I can't say whether the fix will last long term. I used a console command to force a victory, and.SUCCESS! The game did not crash. Then i set grass to the lowest setting (slider all the way to the left) and textures to the medium setting (slider in the middle) and tried again. I recreated the issue on the same battle/map (though the crash was before the battle this time). I found this advice on an old forum post: 'In graphic setting you have to set grass settings to low and set texture at medium and after doing that you have to check whether you are facing same problem or not. Went looking for info, tried some fixes, didn't work. Had the game crash on me twice on victory after the same battle on the same map (Bog map in Dorset I think). If you're reading this you know the drill.
